He wagged his tail even harder, squirming under her grasp. Getting one of her paws to slide off of him, Kaine wriggled out that way. He pounced on her, holding her down, grinning.

She shook her head and snapped playfully at him, but didn't try to escape him. Laughing she stopped as a tiny raindrop landed on her nose, the cold making her sneeze. She growled at it and licked her nose with a smile. |

Kaine laughed. In the few days she had been here, this was the most he've ever seen her close to relaxed. He yipped in surprise as a cold raindrop fell on him with a splash, and he jumped off of her, laying down next to her, panting.

She tilted her head. "You don't like the rain?" she asked looking up to the sky again. A low rumble sounded and she smiled just a light smile and then looked down at him. She laughed and layed down with her paws on him. |

"No, it just startled me!", he declared defensively, childlishy. Kaine didn't move as she laid on her, though he lifted his head up and lightly licked her face, once. A crackle of lightning flashed in the distance, but he didn't bother to move.

"Come on." she said shaking her head. "I don't want to get stuck out here if it gets bad." She stood up and trotted off towards the caves. Stopped she looked back at him with grin on her face, slightly seductive. "Are ya coming?" she asked and then moved off again her tail swaying in the air behind her. |

Kaine smiled, jumping up. Shaking the stiffness that had settled in his bones out, he trotted to catch up to her, then slowed his pace, his side slightly brushing hers every now and then.

She laughed and hopped into her cave spinning around. She yipped and creeped into the back of her cave to lay down with a thud and a sigh. She smiled and closed her eyes trying to listen to when the rain would fall. |

His ears were perked, his head tilted in confusion and amusement as these odd procedings went on. Laughing, he trotted back to his cave, though the desire to stay in hers was strong. "Night", he called out softly.

"See you tomorrow." she called back curling up. As the rain fell a smiled crossed her face and her eyes closed silently. Her tail beat the ground in her sleep as dreams filled her mind. |

Kaine sighed. The steady pounding of the rain lulled him to sleep quickly, a cool sea breeze somehow finding its way into his cave, or so he imagined as he dreampt happily, of him playing Lilly and his childhood friends.

Lilly woke to a tightnening feeling. She lifted her head and stood, streaching. Turning around she sneezed and realized she was in heat. Growling to herself she hoped she trusted the male enough that he wouldn't try anything. Trotting out of her cave as she did the past few mornings she found her puddle and crouched down, lapping it up. Her tail held tight between her legs trying to mask the scent. |

Kaine woke up to a peculiar scent, smelled only once, with his mother. He figured out what it was, and knew that Lilly might be a bit touchy today. Walking out, he laughed finding her at the puddle again. "One day, I should force you to go and drink from the stream. It really isn't that bad.", he said. "I'm going to go get a drink from the stream, from nice, clean water. Want to come?", he asked. The scent was stronger than what he had thought.

Lilly laughed. "You can't make me. I'll come but I can't promise you anything." She shook her head and finished quenching her thirst and then trotted after him her tail still glued to her legs. |

Kaine laughed. "I've noticed that.", he teased jokingly. She seemed pretty stubborn, but he found her attractive that way, though he wasn't ready to say it. Following the same path as before, he arrived at the stream. The water was cool and refreshing, and he lapped it up thirstily. He smacked his lips. "Mmmh, nothing like refreshing stream water, so unlike your puddle leftovers!", he laughed, his tail brushing her side gently a couple of times.
