Kaine in search

[Lexi]

She smiled and layed down putting her head on his side. She sighed and her eyes flittered closed. Sleep claimed her quickly and her dreams were just wonderful.

[Boshia]

Kaine smiled. "Good night, sleep well.", he said softly, then laid his head on the ground, losing himself in a colorful dream quickly.

[Lexi]

Lilly woke to the bright sun rising in her eyes. She laughed looking around and her tail beat the ground in a steady rythem. Once again, they had slept outside and she was beginning to think the large caves were unneeded. A sigh escaped her teeth as she stood and moved herself slowly away from him. The stream looked inviting but her first choice was her puddle. It seemed though the small puddle had finally evaporated which left her slightly sad. Returning to the stream, she lowered her head a lapped up the cool water all the while watching it swivel and swarm beneath her.

Kaine yawned and blinked his eyes, squinting into the newfound light. He was sore, aching all over, but he stood up anyway, groaning and stretching at the same time. But there was a bright side to the day, as there always was. Lilly was drinking from the stream, looking every bit as beautiful as he had imagined in his dream, and even a little more. "Good morning, love," He said, trotting eagerly up and nuzzling her affectionately, then lowered his muzzle to drink in the stream beside her.

[Lexi]

She grinned. "Mornin." She returned the nuzzle the smile visible on her lips. Chuckling she took a step back and sat. "Those caves really aren't doing they're job." She said this in mock seriousness her lips still curved in a smile. She just wanted to be with him, close to him, but it was so unnormal to her.

[Boshia]

Kaine laughed, realizing this was their second night spent sleeping outside. "No, I guess they aren't. But who needs caves when they have the open space?", He agreed, licking her face. He sat down next to her, wagging his tail.

[Lexi]

She licked him back on the muzzle, nibbling his lip. "They're supposed to be keeping us safe and protected." she said nodding. "I guess we don't need it?" She shook her head and moved closer to him resting her head on him silently.

[Boshia]

"I hope we never need it.", he said softly. He returned the lick, and, twisting his body around, grabbed her ear softly, chewing on it.

[Lexi]

She yipped and swatted a paw at him, laughing. She layed down on her back, looking up at him with a grin and kicking her feet at him.

[Boshia]

Laughing, he jumped to his feet, smacking his front paws on the ground, his rear end up in the air playfully. He pounced on her, growling and trying to catch her ear back.

[Lexi]

She flattened her ears against her head and snapped at him as he pounced on her. Growling, she tried to push him off with her front paws, her tail wagging the whole time.

[Boshia]

Kaine's tail was a blur as he jumped at her again, growling. He settled for the scruff of her neck, shaking it gently before letting her go and sitting besides her, panting happily.

[Lexi]

Lilly lay still on the ground looking up at him with a smile. She licked his feet and his lower legs whining happily. Pawing at him a little, she pushed on his chest with her front feet.

[Boshia]

His head lolled, for once his energy spent up enough. He barked happily in her face, then licked it, his tongue flicking against her fur.

[Lexi]

Lilly laughed and barked in return. "This is really nice." she said smiling. "I'm happy to be here with you." She sat up and leaned against him happily.
