This is where it comes to an end,
You and me forever, together.
We wandered silently through the hills, valleys, and rivers this land brought us. Eventually we spotted the lake. I was so thirsty, and I could tell Aragorn was, despite his eagerness to continue moving. I tucked my wings slightly and aimed toward the ground, the air moving under me increased my speed. I spread them out just before landing, and my paws kissed the ground as I landed beside him. "Aragorn, please, we need to stop. Only for a moment I promise," my lyrics spilled out musically. "I told you, Galadriel, we need to keep moving," he countered. I rolled my eyes and stepped away from his side, toward the beautiful, clear, liquid water that called to me. "Galadriel! Ugh, fine!" Aragorn sighed and followed me. I smiled, but I didn't turn to him. I had won. Again. It was crazy how much you could get done with a paranoid brother around. I stepped closer and dipped my head down to the water. The cold liquid soothed my throat and slid down to quench my thirst. I pulled my head up to see Aragorn eying the water. "Aragorn, seriously, it's not dangerous. I know your thirsty, go ahead." He glanced at me and then sighed, and took a long sip. I chuckled once and looked around. This was a nice place to rest. I knew my brother would want to keep going, but I was so tired! Maybe he would be too, and we could finally sleep. It had been so long! I must have been flying for 24 hours straight, not to mention the constant alertness. What was he afraid of? Where were we headed? So many questions that would not be answered...

I heard the foot falls and lyric. My ears spilled over my cranium as I stalked forward. I let my muzzle split the trees. I took one deep breath to identify them. Ah. Winged wolves. They seemed to have been flying over long period of time. I assumed they wanted to rest here. Fine with me, as long as they don't want any trouble. I do not have any claimant over this scrap. So I subtly introduce myself. I walked out slowly, making noise to not scare them, with my being suddenly on top of their river. So I trot out, with a friendly smile across my kissers. I lower my cranium, a sign of peace, but still have my ears and eyes alert, for any sign of trouble or aggression. My clear blue eyes sparkled against the night sky. Interesting. They didn't seem to be in love, but then again, they were two very different colors, so they really couldn't be siblings...

This is the last chance to make your mark History will know who we are.
My eyes wandered to my sister after I finished drinking. I could already tell she wanted to stay. I sighed, and opened my mouth. But as I was about to speak, I heard something, and I dropped to my defensive crouch, protecting my sister behind me. How had they found us? What would they do? My fears faded some when I spotted a friendly female, but I did not relax my position. A low growl threatened, but I didn't want to start anything, so I swallowed it back. Galadriel sighed behind me, impatient. "Aragorn, let up. She's not going to bite," she teased. I rolled my eyes and stood again. Galadriel pushed around me to meet her but a barked low to warn her not to move yet. She sighed and sat beside me, while I sat and spoke. "Evening," I said calmly, smiling, "I'm Aragorn, and this is my sister Galadriel." My sister smiled as well and glanced at me. I gave a small shake of my head, barely noticeable, to keep her here. I wasn't about to drop my guard and let her make friends with whoever showed up. Especially when we were running for our lives; not that she knew that. I was tense and on edge and I knew Galadriel could tell.

I raise my head, and he growls. Yay. "Whoa whoa. No trouble. Just passing through, and I heard you. I wanted to meet." I heard him behind me. My eyes widened. He would definitely look menacing to them. I kick him in the chest. "Ow!" He yells. Then he pokes his head out. His bright red eyes glowing. He sees them and smiles. "Heh. It's okay this is my mate Scar. He just happened to follow me."I state. He looks innocent when I say follow. He lowers his head and comes to my side. We watch the other wolves and hope that they do not become angered. So I step forward. I put my ears back, showing that no harm would come to them, if they did not bother me. "So your names are Aragorn and Galadriel? Mine is Genesis." I step once forward and bend over the pond for a sip.

Black and white, up and down. We are opposites, like smile and frown.
Aragorn watched, obviously on edge, and I rolled my eyes again. It was just one wolf! Besides, she was female. Before I could say something to Aragorn, another wolf showed up. He was big, red eyed, dark, and male. Being a female, especially me, I perked up. I sat up straighter and smiled, eyes focused on the new arrival. Could they, too, be siblings? Then she spoke. Rats! Mates. My ears laid back against my skull and Aragorn growled low, so low they couldn't possibly hear. I straightened up again and looked at Genesis. Nice name. Genesis and Scar. So different. As different as....black and white. Like myself and Aragorn. But then again, they were only mates. We were blood. I nodded at her question and smiled again. Aragorn looked impatient, and I knew he didn't want to waste any time. Had he had interest in Genesis? Ha! And now that he saw she was taken, he wanted to leave. I smiled childishly at Aragorn and his eyes widened. He looked at me, and then them and back at me. I smiled wider and his ears went back. So he thought he was in charge? I stood and walked closer to the others. "So what brings you here?" I asked them, a friendly tone coating my lyrics. Aragorn stood and followed, standing unbearable close. Stupid brother cooties... "We were passing through as well. Just stopping for a drink. Oh, and sorry for growling...I'm a little protective of my sister." Aragorn told them. "Ha! A little..." I muttered. I wondered why he suddenly felt he could say something. Maybe he finally realized what I already knew; they were no danger to us, and they meant no harm.

You're hot then you're cold, Yes than you're no, In then you're out, You're up then you're down...They got even more tense when I came out. I acted cautiously but protective of her. I meant no harm and I hoped they could see that. Then Genesis spoke and they relaxed. It was that voice of her's. Her calming cool voice. High lyrics, but not a bit too high. I could smell the tension of their bodies. I could sense it. The cool air of the dark forest at night blew threw here and I lost their scent. Then it came back. The mossy floor squished when I shifted my weight. Water came up between my pads. The thick air rose, it was so humid! It got harder to breathe so I started to pant. My teeth shone in the light. Bright white. I did not pull my teeth back to show dominance or aggression, just merely to increase air flow. I moved forward when she did. Towering a little over her small bodice. I smiled, to make sure I wasn't causing any tension. Then the male spoke, "We were passing through as well. Just stopping for a drink. Oh, and sorry for growling...I'm a little protective of my sister." That made Gen chuckle. "'s okay. I would have done the same thing had I found another unfamiliar wolf." Her pose was completely relaxed. The other female laughed. "Ha. A little..." That made me smile. "I am a little protective of my Gen." My deep lyrics came slithering out. She looked up at me with a scowl. "Your Gen?" She spoke in her high symphony. I laughed. "You know what I mean. I am your mate, you are my mate. I am your Scar, and you are my Genesis." I said in a laughing tone. I looked back at them. "So where are you headed? If you don't mind me asking. I mean, if you'd rather not speak... I completely understand." I spoke, the little white wolf still scowling at me.

We could be anything; The sun, the sky, the grass...
Total calm. At least she was. I shook my head slowly and looked down. I was of course a little on edge, but they seemed nice enough. Key word seemed. Anything can happen when mates protect each other, and even siblings. Family runs deep, but so does love. I glanced between them. It must be nice, to have a mate, a place to go. No more running. I could hope, right? Galadriel shouldered me and I remembered to speak up. "We're...not really headed anywhere in particular..." I told them. It was true. I had no place in mind other than that it had to be somewhere other than where we'd been. A sudden panic, not noticeable on the outside, hit me as I wondered. How long would we run? Would Galadriel ever have the family she's always dreamed of? Would I lead a pack? Could we ever relax? I sighed, barely enough for my sister to hear. It was sad. Could we ever be normal?

I continued to scowl at him, even though he paid no mind to me. His Gen.... I thought. Then Aragorn spoke. "We're...not really headed anywhere in particular..." That was cool, just wandering. Then again, not having any where to go would be somewhat scary. And not knowing where you are to go. So I had pity for them deep down. "That's cool. Nomads?" I guessed. I was once a nomad. It wasn't really my kind of life. I just wandered here and there, feeding off of the land until the fruits ran scarce. Then I would move, go somewhere that the animals bred great and they were healthy enough to provide. It was nice, for a while. Then it got old. So I found Scar and settled down with him. We still don't have any land, but we have a temporary place to stay. It's not like we have any kids... For now. I am thinking about have some when we settle... but Scar... I don't know...

When you figure out love is all that matters after all, It sure makes everything else...seem so small.
I glanced at Aragorn and back at Genesis as my brother spoke. "Yeah, we're kind of like nomads I guess..." he said nodding. Nomads? So that's what we were now? Why had he said that? I couldn't let myself think Aragorn had nowhere for us. Didn't he have a heading at all? So this whole time, I thought we were headed somewhere we could finally call home, and he was saying we had nothing. I looked at Aragorn. "Well we do have somewhere to go, right?" Aragorn looked at me painfully. "No...not yet," he said softly. I looked at the ground and took a deep breath. So maybe not now...but eventually, right? I mean, he had said not yet. Surely we'd have a home soon. I smiled back up at Genesis and Scar. "I'm glad we met you two. But I think we should be on our way, right brother?" Aragorn sighed. He looked relieved that I finally wanted to go. He nodded and looked back at our new friends. "I hope we run into again someday. Galadriel is right, we'll be on our way. Nice meeting you." I sighed and turned to go, and my brother followed me. I spread my wings and took to the sky, Aragorn running below me. We soon disappeared from the clearing.
